Solene Chalvon Fioriti is a French journalist, author and film director. A regular collaborator with the left-leaning newspaper Liberation as well as La Revue XXI, Radio France Internationale (RFI), Arte or France 24, she started covering Afghanistan in 2012, engaging both in journalistic and militant feminist work here and there.
Her documentary “Afghan Women” recounts the lives of several women whose lives have been shattered by the return of the Taliban to power – doctors, teachers, activists or beggars; wives, daughters, mothers or grandmothers; staying by choice or by force, leaving by choice or by force. The documentary is a much-needed heart-opening window into the infinite struggles of Afghan women today.
All are welcome regardless of gender, the content is important for everyone.
